Finding Contentment and Happiness from Within

Notice today when you tell yourself, “I’ll be happy when...”,

We usually blame our feelings on our circumstances, our health or wellness, our income, or how others treat us-but many people, the happiest people, find ways to be content and or happy in the worst conditions, and miserable in the best…

It’s a choice, one which anyone has at any given moment. To be happy and make the best out of what we are dealt and see how things can work for us or be miserable and continue to complain about “how bad it is”.

My boyfriend (at the time) recently spent a couple days in the hospital for a diverticulitis attack. I don’t like driving into the city traffic and who likes to be in the hospital? Yet, so many good things came out of this. This was ‘down time’ for the both of us, something we both needed. Driving home each evening I saw the most amazing sunsets and his room had an amazing view of the river and sky. I made sure to walk up the five flights of stairs to help with any anxiety from being in a hospital and getting a great workout in. Being happy that I got to experience the beauty that I did while in the situation that we were in.

🌺 It can always start right now with exactly where you are now.
