Be responsible for your own happiness, don’t give this responsibility to someone else.
Each and every day, at each moment we have choices, both big and small, that can and will effect our over all well being. Our physical, mental, emotional and spiritual states. Everything that we ingest or consume, from the food eat, the beverages we drink, what we watch and listen to on social media, or TV, the music we play. How we start and end our days and everything that fills our time and our mind. Our self talk will set standards to how others may treat us. What are we putting out to another we will be sure to get back, respond or adjust accordingly.
Learn to enjoy your own company first. We spew onto others what is within ourselves. Whether it is joy, anger, sadness, frustration, happiness, it comes from within. Being able to move through heavy emotions, or allowing them to move through us to be released is necessary for our overall health and well being. Writing in a journal is a great way to dump our weight. Releasing what no longer serves a divine purpose in our lives is an intentional practice. Movement, dance to good music. Watch a sunset or sunrise or birds in the sky. Be present to the beauty in your life. A daily practice worth taking and making time for.
To create happiness we must find the happiness within ourselves first. Self care is a daily practice that takes effort till it becomes a healthy habit. Making time for love, laughter and prayer or gratitude. Take time to play, create, read a book or something that inspires you. Take time to do what you enjoy doing, seek to feed the happiness within yourself. You are worth it!
