As within, so without
After seeing this posted, and my 36 hour “mystery illness”. Leading to a fast and juice cleanse for a speedy recovery, this made me think. This was not from alcohol or processed foods, but I feel, from possibly overtraining and overworking (which I love my job and working out!) but adding a triple shot of caffeine and some emotional vampires probably sent me over the edge. Or at least lowering my immune systems natural defenses enough to let this bugger in. So it’s not always the food, or the thoughts, it could be stress alone. Or not sleeping. Or the poor food choices alone. Wearing ourselves out is enough to weaken our immune systems natural defenses.
Our cells are made up of what we feed it-From the food(sugar, alcohol, highly processed dairy, wheat-gluten & soy products) to the environment we place ourselves in both physically, mentally and emotionally(negative habits and self-talk, chronic complaining, judging or comparison, living in a state of fear, or doom and gloom, suppressed emotions and unhealed wounds) They all take a toll on our inner and outer world. And there is always a way to change or shift and therefore heal. Even those small shifts in the inner world, will create the outer world to follow suit.
As quote from Hermetic Philosophy, “As within, so without, as above, so below, as the universe, so the soul”
Higher quality food, water and thoughts
Yoga, meditation, writing-journaling, talk therapy
Movement-exercise
Time in Nature, sunshine
Deep conscious breathing
Quality sleep-phone on airplane mode at night. No scrolling before bed.
Realizing that what triggers you is a deep core wound within you that needs tended to and healed. Take time to sit with where this stems from. And seek a quality therapist if needed.
Having faith and trust over fear.
Love more, having gratitude & appreciating what we DO HAVE goes a long way!
Laugh more, lighten up and don’t take things personally, learn to be playful.
Our bodies are quite miraculous and taking care of this vessel is a responsibility in order to run optimally. Self-love and self-care go a long way. Self-abuse and neglect will have its repercussions. We have a choice. You are worth it! 💓
