Chocolate balls of energy
Cacao energy balls
These babies can be rolled into balls or pressed into a glass dish
8 pitted Medjool dates
1 cup Pecans or 2/3 cup almonds
Blend in food processor to chop nuts and blend with dates.
Add
2 Tbsp ground flaxseed
1 Tbsp chia seeds
1 tsp maca powder
2 Tbsp blackstrap molasses
1/3 cup cacao powder
The following is Optional and adds to the taste and nutrition.
-1 Tbsp shredded coconut
A dash of cinnamon
-2 Tbsp orange zest
-1 tsp mint extract
1 Tbsp goji berries
1 Tbsp Spirulina
Blend just enough to mix then add 3-8 Tbsp of melted coconut oil. Blend again till moist enough to roll into balls and stick together. Roll into balls and refrigerate at least 10 minutes for oil to firm up.
